About this policy
This policy describes how AMX Technologies handles information when you visit amxtechnologies.com, contact our team, submit a project enquiry, use the live chat, or follow a link to an external service. It covers this website; a separate agreement or privacy notice may apply to a client project.
Who we are
AMX Technologies operates this website. For questions or requests about this policy, use the Contact Us page.
Information we receive
Information you provide
When you submit a contact or consultation form, we receive the first and last name and email address you provide, along with any optional phone number, company name, project message, and the page from which you sent the form. We store the enquiry in our website database so our team can follow up, and send it to our configured contact email address.
If you email, call, message us on WhatsApp, or contact us through live chat, we receive the details and message content you choose to share through that channel. Please do not send payment card details, passwords, or other sensitive information through a general enquiry form or chat.
Website and security information
The contact form creates a one-way hash from the visitor's IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may also process connection and diagnostic information, such as IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, and error records, to deliver and secure the website.
Live chat and external services
The website loads a live chat widget provided by Tawk.to. Tawk.to may receive technical information when the widget loads; if you interact with it, Tawk.to and AMX Technologies may also receive your messages and related conversation information. See the Tawk.to Privacy Policy for the provider's practices.
Our WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp. If you choose to continue there, the information you send is handled by WhatsApp under its own Privacy Policy. We do not receive information from WhatsApp merely because you viewed the button.
How we use information
We use information to:
- respond to questions, consultation requests, and project enquiries;
- prepare proposals or discuss services you ask about;
- operate, troubleshoot, and protect the website and its forms;
- detect spam, misuse, and security incidents; and
- meet legal, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements where they apply.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use this website to run advertising campaigns based on personal profiles.
Cookies and similar technologies
The public website does not currently use its own advertising or analytics cookies. The live chat provider may use cookies or similar browser storage when its widget loads or when you use chat. Your browser settings can control or clear those technologies, though some chat features may then be unavailable.
The private administration area uses a session cookie to keep authorised staff signed in. That cookie is not used to track visitors across the public website.
When information is shared
We share information only as needed with:
- hosting, database, infrastructure, and email delivery providers that help operate the website and respond to enquiries;
- Tawk.to when the live chat widget is loaded or used;
- WhatsApp if you choose to contact us through WhatsApp; and
- professional advisers, public authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to protect rights, address security or fraud, or comply with law.
Service providers process information for the services they provide and under their own terms and privacy notices. Depending on their systems, information may be processed in countries other than Pakistan.
Retention
We keep enquiry records for as long as they are reasonably needed to respond, manage a potential or ongoing business relationship, maintain appropriate business records, and address legal or security needs. We do not publish a fixed retention period for every type of enquiry. When information is no longer needed, we aim to delete or de-identify it, subject to any legal or operational recordkeeping requirements.
Security
We use access controls and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information handled through this website. No website, email service, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may be able to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or object to or limit certain processing. To make a request, use the Contact Us page and describe what you need. We may ask for information to confirm your identity and will respond in line with applicable requirements.
You can also choose not to submit a form or use the chat. You may still browse the public pages, and you can contact us by phone or email instead.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. Please contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information, and we will review the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, our data practices, or applicable requirements change. The revised version will appear on this page with an updated date.
